Laser Equipment, Hair Removal, and Medical

Hello and welcome to MKlasers.com! Here, we are devoted to bringing you up-to-date information on the cutting edge development of the laser industry along with the plethora of applications the laser equipment has found in the automotive, cosmetic, defense, art, and medical industries. With the prolific use of lasers it is important to quantify and attempt to understand the fundamentals of the items in use. This is not always an easy assignment, to simply understand, because of the slant that is so profound in some publications today. Here, at mwklasers.com be find that practice abhorrent, and seek to purge the bias from our writing altogether. Check us out and discover what wealth of impartial information we have brought to bear in the form of this informational website.
The word laser is actually an acronym that was coined by its creator Gordon Gould. It actually just means, light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation. The history of the LASER stems back to the second half of the 20th century. Different scientists were hypothesizing about the creation of the laser, seemingly independent of each other. Around the late 19050s into the 1960s Gould invented the first laser, although he was not awarded the patent for the laser equipment. Bell laboratories was and that began a 20 year patent war over the prestige and commercialization rights of the product. Thankfully, during the same time period, the development of the laser did continue.
Modern development into the broad, at times literally, usage of lasers has lead it to be used in a variety of different industries. From the industrial and weaponized use of megawatt class laser weapons to the less small scale lasers that are used in LASIK eye surgery; there are a few common chords. All lasers are using a amplification method to purify the light that is being provided by the supplied energy. The energy is called pumping, and there are a variety of different methods from chemicals, to solid state fuels to a plethora of other developing synthesized products. The laser equipment is almost always developing in this way.
One of the more interesting examples of the laser can be seen in the National Ignition Facility which is using high powered pulse lasers. It has thus far broken the world record with a 700 terawatt pulse of 1.8 million joules. For the sake of perspective, the world only uses 16 terawatts of power in a year. This extreme example is literally miles of amplifying that channels into a single chamber that is 10 meters across in Livermore, California. The first attempt at ignition is scheduled for 2010, although the project has be riddled with delays and has cost billions more than its initial projection. The resultant goal of the project is to reach inertial confinement fusion. ICF is some extremely complicated physics where the outer layer of a fuel is blasted and turned to plasma. According to Newton’s 3rd Law, a shockwave moves from the exterior of the fuel towards the center at an extremely high speed, potentially causing fusion in the center of the fuel device, although this is all purely hypothetical. The collapse of the fuel is meant to spur fusion, although it has not yet been done. Theoretically, the reaction of one fuel cell could chain react with others, resulting in ignition or a greater output of energy than the input.
The medical portion of laser equipment for hair removal stems from an 1998 study by Massachusetts General Hospital. From there studies were done into the feasibility of using low intensity lasers on the follicle of the hair to damage and impede its growth. Laser equipment in this field has been essential in the medical hair removal as a more utilitarian friendly approach than electrolysis, which is discussed in the laser hair removal equipment description on the left.
All in all, the ubiquitous use of lasers in the modern world makes the information in the cite as valuable as it is. From the aesthetics of arts, crafts, and serious model building, to the hard damages of welding and the power potential for fusion, laser equipment is proving to be vital every day.
